The Myth of Yemayá
Yemayá is the great Orisha of the ocean — goddess of the sea, mother of all life, and protector of women. In Yoruba and Afro-Caribbean traditions, she is both fierce and nurturing, a divine force who washes away sorrow and births creation. Her essence lives in saltwater, in the moon’s pull, in every ebb and flow.

Pearls are among her sacred offerings — formed from the sea’s depths and softened by time, they symbolize emotional wisdom, feminine power, and the beauty of becoming.
