Description
Handcrafted in solid 10k gold, this one-of-a-kind necklace holds a small natural staurolite cross pendant on a delicate 14k 1mm snake chain. Staurella takes its name from Stauros, the Greek word for "cross." It is a softer echo of our Stauros Necklace, carrying the same rare, naturally formed cruciform shape in a more intimate size.

Protection, grounding, calm
Known as the "Fairy Cross," staurolite forms naturally into the shape of a cross: a rare twin of its crystal structure said, in folklore, to be the tears of fairies. For centuries it has been carried as a talisman of protection, worn to ward off illness, misfortune, and ill will. Staurolite is also known as a grounding stone, believed to ease stress and anxiety while quietly connecting the wearer to the natural world.
Our Materials
Every Catori Life piece is ethically handcrafted in Santa Fe, New Mexico and New York City from 100% recycled metal. No newly mined metal, ever.
Bronze: 100% recycled, hand polished solid bronze
Sterling silver: recycled solid sterling silver. Some of our silver chains are rhodium plated to keep from tarnishing. Please be sure to see product details.
Gold: solid recycled 10k, 14k or 18k gold, SCS Global certified. Never plated or filled.
Nickel and allergen free. Where a chain or hook is gold fill or gold vermeil, we note it on the product.
Care: bronze and silver warm to a soft patina over time. Polish with a soft cloth to bring back the shine.

Each made-to-order piece is crafted just for you. Please allow 2 to 5 weeks for us to make and ship your order.

Made-to-order pieces are final sale and can’t be exchanged or returned. If a bronze version is available, we recommend ordering it first to make sure the size and design are perfect for you. You can then exchange the bronze piece and apply it to your made-to-order version.
