Jūratė — the Lithuanian sea-goddess whose tears became amber.

Caught sunlight, held for a hundred million years. Amber is the gold of the sea — drops of the sun, tears of the gods, ancient resin gathered from old-growth forests and carried by rivers down to the deep, where it waits to wash ashore as treasure. Pirates plundered it, queens were buried in it, and the sea has guarded it as her own since before memory.

Dreamlike and luminous, these chandeliers cascade like droplets from a sunken hoard. Amber carries the warmth of living light — a talisman of protection, renewal and good fortune, said to hold the wisdom of ancient ages and shield the wearer from all that does not serve. In old Baltic legend, amber is the sea-queen's tears, her shattered palace washing back to shore grain by grain. To wear it is to carry a fragment of that story: sunlight and saltwater, plunder and protection, the long memory of the tide.
